ANGLING RULES

No Keepnets except in competitions
No landing nets other than those provided
All fish to be returned
Barbless hooks only
Only one hook permitted in terminal tackle
No fishing until permits paid for
No fishing before 7 am
No fishing after 9.30pm. From 1st September until the end of March fishing must cease one hour after sunset
No fishing off the dam or bridge
Juniors must be accompanied by a responsible adult with a maximum of 2 juniors per adult
Maximum of 2 rods to be used at any one time
Spinning is not permitted

GENERAL RULES

Maximum of 2 Juniors per adult

No extra adults without tickets are allowed (Insurance requirement)
Day tickets and annual permit holders only
Visitors by invitation only, then only if accompanied by a club official (Insurance requirement)
Tickets will be inspected by Club bailiffs and officials
River rules do not apply to the lake
Do not proceed past the “No admittance” signs because of the danger of deep mud

ADULTS ACCOMPANYING CHILDREN

Groe Park and Irfon Angling Club membersare entitiled to bring children who are 10 and under to fish free of charge. All adults must purchase a permit or be a season permit holder
You are responsible for the child’s safety and behavoir
This is not a play area
The child mut not be allowed to wander off – there is water and deep mud off the paths – they might die
Respect other anglers
This area is for angling. Do not allow children to run about or to splash on the water or throw things into the water
Do not feed the swans and ducks because they will then approach other anglers and become entangled in the lines and hooks, or eat the angler’s bait and become hooked. If you feed the birds you may result in their death after you have gone
